Do you dream of flying: When I was a boy looking to the sky, seeing birds fly and dreaming if someday I could fly. It takes a lot of planning and a lot of hard work, too, it takes a lot of caring to make a dream come true... Those who achieve success are those who take a dream and make it come true. I made my dream come true, may be later in life but I am still there. If you have a dream of flying never give up and you will be there too. By Robert J. Akerley
2004 I did get the chance to fly in the B-17 "Nine 0 Nine" in formation with the B-24 Liberator and the F-4 u Corsair. It was like going back in time you can almost hear the pilots say, test fire your guns and keep your eyes open for bogeys. I can't imagine what was going through those aviators minds, B-17's don't have much armor that I could see. They definitely was the greatest generation.
